Violence Prevention - A Goal Worth Pursuing!

Safe communities are the vision of all families for their kids and neighbors. But as violence spreads across our nation we are all looking for answers. What makes a child turn to violence? How do kids build hatred and anger? Unfortunately these are complicated questions with an aplethora of possible reasons. We may never know exactly what turns a child to drugs and violence, but we do know a quality of those kids who resist and go on to live productive and healthy lives. That quality is "inspiration"! The kids who succeed are inspired toward a goal or dream that prevents the aimless wandering and searching of those without.

Every successful child at some point begins to imagine going to college, becoming a Nurse, a Doctor, a Teacher, a Firefighter, an Athlete etc.. There is a bigger goal to shoot for, a feeling of possibility and a reason to work hard. We must challenge and inspire kids to find their dreams and passions to keep them focused on the positives. When the mind becomes focused either positively or negatively, the results are exactly what is focused on. We must get kids to dream "BIG" to keep their dreams and goals intact.

Wheels of Freestyle uses professional extreme sports athletes to deliver the "INSPIRATION" as talented athletes deliver a powerful demonstration of how hard work and dedication pay off. What better way to teach than to show a child amazing athletic skill learned as a result of having a dream? The Wheels of Freestyle "GO BIG" School assembly is just that, an opportunity for your students to grab onto a dream and focus on what is possible. In doing so they will get the inspiration they need to work hard, stay dedicated and avoid all the negative things in life; things like drugs and violence that can take away their dreams.
